AL1 MANAGEMENT OF THE PROJECT - WP leader: University of Granada UGR
This Work Package describes the overall organization of the Arqus European UniversityAlliance alongside the management of this first pilot project. The conception, goals and long-term strategy of Arqus thus clearly exceed the customary conception and management of a short-term project. The Alliance has decided that the coordination and overall management of this application and of the alliance should be the responsibility of the University of Granada, which will therefore take on the leadership of this WP for this first work plan.
AL2 WIDENING ACCESS, INCLUSION & DIVERSITY - WP leader: University of Padua UNIPD
This Work Package is coordinated by the Inclusion Board and have the following main objectives:
- Increasing inclusion (widening access and diversity) within universities.
- Increasing the awareness of the local and regional environment about different forms of disparity, under-represented groups, diversity and inclusion.
- Influencing inclusive policies on a regional and national level.
AL3 STUDENT-CENTRED FRAMEWORKS FOR QUALITY LEARNING - WP leader: University of Vilnius VU
This WP is based on three main action fields and objectives:
- Enabling staff and students via innovative teaching.
- Fostering student-centred and research-based learning through joint and flexible curricula.
- Enhancing the development of mobility and recognition.
AL4 MULTILINGUAL & MULTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY - WP leader: University of Leipzig
The above assumptions bring us to four major objectives:
- The partner universities aim to ensure that students and instructors have the language proficiency and cultural competence in the learning/teaching languages that they need for their studies and future professional activities.
- The partner universities aim to ensure that subject-specific and language learning go hand in hand.
- The partner universities aim to promote multilingualism and multiculturalism in university programmes, academic discourses and administration.
- The universities are committed to using inclusive and non-discriminatory language.
AL5 ENTREPRENEURIAL UNIVERSITY & REGIONAL ENGAGEMENT - WP leader: University of Lyon - UDL
This Work Package will be implemented by the Entrepreneurship Board under the leadership of the University of Lyon, with the following general objectives:
- Stimulating entrepreneurial mind-set and creativity
- Reinforcing regional engagement
- Building on complementary strengths and cross-sectoral collaborations
AL6 RESEARCH SUPPORT & EARLY STAGE RESEARCHER DEVELOPMENT - WP leader: University of Graz
This Work Package will be implemented by the Research Board under the leadership of the University of Graz, and has the following objectives:
- Sharing best practice in research management and support
- Studying the feasibility of sharing resources
- Promoting joint doctoral initiatives and promoting shared opportunities
AL7 ENGAGED EUROPEAN CITIZENS - WP leader: University of Bergen UIB
The WP will work towards the following objectives:
- Developing and disseminating novel models of active European citizenship whereby students engage with contemporary global thematic challenges and work together across national borders to address them.
- Developing and piloting a process for cultivating Arqus knowledgecreating teams to engage with thematic challenges.
- Strengthening students’ transferable skills through education and capacity-building.
- Developing, piloting and disseminating innovative models for multidisciplinary, student-led education across the Alliance and beyond.
AL8 DISSEMINATION & SUSTAINABILITY - WP leader: University of Granada UGR
The dissemination strategy is defined at four different levels:
- Target audiences
- Objectives
- Actions and instruments
- Achievement and impact measurement
