Learn Italian at Cla

The University of Padova offers many opportunities to gain a working knowledge of the Italian language or to build on existing skills.
The Cla - Centro Linguistico di Ateneo provides Italian language courses, multimedia-laboratory facilities, meetup groups and self-taught courses.

  CLA Multimedia Library

The Multimedia Library is a branch of the Cla - Centro Linguistico di Ateneo. It provides a large collection of media: audio, video, language software, digital presentation resources, etc.
Students (including exchange students) and staff of the University can check-out DVDs and videos to watch in the lab. They are free to use the multimedia facilities and the language laboratory for self-learning; they can also have access to audiovisual and computerized resources.

  Tandem Learning

Tandem Learning is an exchange between two native speakers of different languages which enables both to improve their language skills through conversation or other forms of communication.

Cla offers Face-to-face Tandem Learning and E-Tandem.

  Conversation groups Conversazioni CreAttive

Conversazioni CreAttive are a series of conversation groups organised by the Alternative Civilian Service volunteers. During the group meetings, in which one or more native speakers are also present, students are given the opportunity to converse in a foreign language. The project aims to provide participants with a space for intercultural and language exchanges.
Participation is free and is open to all University of Padua students and students on exchange programmes (Erasmus, Mundus, etc.).

Conversations are to be activated for: French, Russian, English and Italian for foreign students.

  Italian Language Course for Chinese Students - Marco Polo Project

The University of Padova Language Center (CLA) offers 25 places for Chinese students on an Italian language and culture course for students taking part in the Marco Polo programme 2012-13. The course begins in March 2012 and ends at the end of August 2012. The Italian course will take place in 3 stages (levels I -III), corresponding to levels A1, A2 and B1 of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The course lasts a total of 560 hours, these include: lessons in the classroom with the teacher, autonomous learning in the laboratory, conversation, guided tours of the city with related class activities, and didactic video projections. During the course there will be two midterm and one final exam (level B1) to assess the progress of the student. Please check the CLA website for further information.
