L'Esposizione Universale che si terrà a ottobre a Dubai verterà sul tema "Connecting Minds and Creating the Future through sustainability, mobility and opportunity" e sarà un momento importante per la diplomazia internazionale. Su invito del Commissariato Generale d’Italia per Expo Dubai 2020,  all'interno della Global Goals Week, la Rete delle Università per lo sviluppo sostenibile, di cui l'Università fa parte, organizzerà per il 18 gennaio 2022 un evento dedicato alla sostenibilità: il Forum "Universities in action for the UN 2030 Agenda", che sarà parte di un forum più ampio organizzato dall'Alleanza Italiana per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (ASviS).

Con l’obiettivo di raccogliere e dare visibilità sia alle idee delle studentesse e degli studenti sull'università nel 2030 sia alle buone pratiche che gli istituti di istruzione superiore stanno già attuando per contribuire attivamente al Decennio di azione dell'ONU, sono state ideate 2 call: una rivolta a studentesse e studenti, l'altra alle università.

Il bando rivolto al corpo studentesco, che scade il 15 settembre 2021, offre a ragazze e ragazzi l'opportunità di raccontare attraverso un breve video le proprie idee sul futuro delle università, con particolare riferimento ai temi PeopleProsperity, Planet.

A branch of the Italian Police Department, known as the Questura, was inaugurated today in Palazzo Bo.  The branch provides help and services needed to carry out the necessary paperwork to study and work in Italy, including Italian Residence Permits and information on finding general practitioners for students, researchers, and visiting professors. 

In recent years, the University of Padua has witnessed a 30% growth in the number of international students, progressing from 300 to 1350 students. The Palazzo Bo branch, located on the corner of Canton del Gallo via San Francesco, will be a valuable tool for those who have chosen Padua to study or work.

The inaugurate ceremony included the participation of University of Padua Rector Rizzuto, Isabella Fusiello(Padua General Manager of Public Security),  Maria Luisa Pellizzari (Deputy Chief of Police), Raffaele Grassi (Prefect of Padua), Fabio Bui (President of the Province of Padua), Daniela Mapelli (Univerisity of Padua Rector Elect, as of October 2021), Alessandro Paccagnella (University of Padua Vice Rector for International Relations) and Alberto Scuttari (University of Padua Director General).
