As one of the most authoritative and internationally followed agencies in the field of academic evaluations, QS World University Ranking results have placed the University of Padua among the top 250 universities in the world, following its latest results published on June 8, 2022.
The University of Padua confirmed its performance as it is ranked 243rd place globally and 4th place nationally, once again confirming its tenure position among the top 250 best universities five years running.
Despite the significant increase in the number of universities surveyed (more than 10%), Padua further improves its performance in percentage terms and remains among the best 2% of universities in the world (according to QS there are over 18,000 universities in the world). In particular, Unipd improved its academic reputation and ranks 134th in the world according to the analysis of preferences expressed by over 100,000 professors and researchers from all over the world.
Furthermore, international indicators for Padua are also improving, both in terms of teaching staff and in terms of international students.
The agency introduced two new indicators this year despite excluding them in the final ranking. The new International Research Network indicator evaluates an institute’s research partnerships with other universities. Here, the University of Padua ranks among the top 100 global universities, once again confirming the quality and international appreciation of its scientific research.
Employment Outcomes, the second new indicator, evaluates the degree of employability of university graduates, where Padua follows similar trends to other Italian universities.
The University of Padua Delegate for Joint Degree Programmes and International Ranking, Mara Thiene, explains, “While competition in the international arena continues to increase, our University confirms its high quality of research and teaching. We continue diversifying our course curricula based on targeted languages and expanding our network with new international universities through cooperation and relationship development.”
