iMOVES & FB: Food safety, Public health and Animal Welfare

This Summer School is directed primarily to Veterinary Students and Food Biotechnologists. The School will investigate crucial matters on food safety, public health and animal welfare at a global level. These topics all display an interconnected relationship as students will learn more about their implications in an interdisciplinary environment.
Blended Learning (8-10th June): Taking place over three days, these classes aim to familiarize students from different institutions with each other, introduce the topics while highlighting the diversity of various international contexts, and introduce students to new-generation IT tools. This portion is dedicated to accommodating students from programmes other than veterinary medicine.
Hands-on experience (22-26th June): The in-person part will take place over five days, with practical activities and guided visits to production facilities operating in the primary sector and terrestrial and aquatic animal product transformation (including seafood and poultry).
Possible experience in USA: Universities such as TexasA&M, PennVet, Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Kansas State University may host Italian students the following summer.
This course is your chance to combine innovative online learning with real-world application. Don’t miss the opportunity to enhance your skills, make meaningful connections, and explore the exciting intersections of animal welfare, legislation, and global industry practices in wonderful locations such as Padova, Chioggia and Venice
