Summer schools

Deadlines and general information on summer schools

When: Second call 15 April – 15 May 2026

The second call is open to EU and NON-EU candidates who do not require a visa to enter Italy for short-term stays.
NON-EU students must check the entry requirements for Italy on the following web page: https://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/

How: Fill out the form, upload the required documents, and submit your application!

What:

  1. Passport/ID,
  2. Certificate of enrolment with exams (original and translation into Italian / English).
    - If you have not yet completed your studies, you can apply with the most recent version of your certificate of studies;
    - If you have just started a Second-cycle/Master's degree course, upload the certificate of the exams taken during the First-cycle/Bachelor's degree together with the Master's enrolment certificate
    - Legalization of these documents is not required.
  3. CV (preferably Europass format; maximum 2 pages; in English);
  4. Motivation letter (maximum 1 page).

The results will be communicated to each candidate by email. Admitted applicants will receive further instructions on how to accept their place.

Applications to the "Explore" Summer Schools are managed directly by the departments. Please contact the contact the relevant office directly.

Schools will run only if the minimum number of participants is reached.

The participation fee is 500 euros for a one-week Summer School, 900 euros for a two-week Summer School.

A 20% discount is available for participants enrolled in partner universities.

A 50% discount is available for participants enrolled in universities within ARQUS alliance, including the University of Padova.

A maximum number of exemptions may apply. Specific Summer Schools may offer different discounts: for further details, please refer to the relevant webpage.

 

Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Standard Cancellation Deadline: Participants are eligible for a tuition refund only if a formal written cancellation request is received by the Admissions Office no later than May 31 2026.
  • Administrative and Transaction Fees: Please be advised that any refund issued will be subject to the deduction of non-refundable bank charges, wire transfer fees, or payment processing commissions incurred during the transaction. These costs are the sole responsibility of the participant.
  • Late Cancellations: No refunds, partial or full, will be granted for cancellation requests submitted after May 31, regardless of the reason for withdrawal.
  • Procedure: All cancellation notices must be sent via email to summerschool@unipd.it The date of the email receipt will serve as the official timestamp for determining eligibility.

The University of Padova will not issue any letter of invitation. Admission letters for visa purposes can be provided upon request, subject to full payment of the participation fees.
