Certifications

  Self-certifications

At Italian public administrations, it is usually required to submit self-certifications (self-declaration of certification): according to the current legislation (DPR 445/2000 and subsequent amendments), from January 1st 2012, public administrations and public service providers can no longer request or accept certificates produced by other public offices from private individuals.

All information is available on the Self-certifications page.

  Certificates

Certificates are official documents issued by the University which certify information related to the academic careers of students at the University of Padua.

  • For certificates related to bachelor's, master's, single-cycle master's degrees, and single courses, please visit the Certificates page.
  • For certificates related to specialization schools, TFA (Active Training Internship), doctoral programs, and master's degrees, please contact the Doctorate and Postgraduate Office.

  Digital certificates and attestations

The issuance of digital certificates of degree completion (Blockcerts) for graduates of certain study programs is being implemented.

Open Badges are digital attestations of disciplinary knowledge, personal skills (soft skills), and acquired technical competencies.

  Diploma and Diploma Supplement

A degree diploma is issued to all graduates as a single copy (parchment).

For graduates of the new system (pursuant to Ministerial Decrees 509/1999 and 270/2004), the Diploma Supplement is also available. This is a bilingual informative report that provides a description of the nature, level, context, content, and status of the studies undertaken and completed by the student according to a standard 8-point model developed at the initiative of the European Commission, the Council of Europe, and UNESCO.

  Databases (for public administrations only)

The University of Padua provides public administrations and public service managers (art. 43 DPR 445/2000) with online access to the data in its possession regarding students and graduates.

This allows for the verification of self-certification declarations and declarations in lieu of affidavits, and in general, for consulting data related to various types of degrees and academic careers.
