International Staff Training Week

Joint International Staff Training Week 2021

The University of Padua and the University of St Andrews invite colleagues to participate in an online International Staff Training Week on the topic of “Celebrating University Anniversaries”.

Objectives: The aim of this virtual event is to bring together academic and professional staff from the University of Padua, the University of St Andrews and colleagues at partner institutions across the world to explore the topic of celebrating university anniversaries, and share best practice. It also aims to support the development of links across Professional Service Units (Global/International Office, Libraries & Museums and others) and Academic Schools.

Sessions: The event builds on the upcoming 800th anniversary celebrations of the University of Padua in 2022 and the 600th anniversary celebrations at St Andrews in 2013. Sessions will be dedicated to both academic and general topics, from collections and cultural heritage, to communication and global engagement, logistics, fundraising and alumni. The legacy of these celebrations will also be considered.

Who can participate: Administrative and academic staff members from Higher Education Institutions across the globe. An active engagement of all participants is expected throughout the Training Week (case studies presentations, discussion, etc.). Previous experience in organisation of anniversary celebrations is considered as an asset.
