  Soundpainting Orchestra

Soundpainting is a method of instant composition created in the 80s and developed by New York composer Walter Thompson. It is a language composed of 1500 gestures, through which the conductor (or soundpainter) indicates to an ensemble composed of musicians, dancers, actors, poets, etc. ..., to perform a certain type of action.

The first soundpainting orchestra in Italy was born in 2018 in Padua with Teatro Believe and then expanded thanks to a university project with the University of Padua.
The new edition includes 4 days of intensive training and a final show in the prestigious Sala dei Giganti.
If you sing, dance, play an instrument, act, and want to be part of a college art project, become part of the Believe Soundpainting Orchestra.
Send your application to info@teatrobelieve.it with your CV; describe any experience you have had and specify your artistic interests. You must be a student at the University of Padua to participate.
Participation is free of charge.

Innovative student projects aimed at improving education

To improve the quality of didactics, the University evaluates the proposals by verifying the design capacity, the development of an innovative didactic experience, encouraging tools that favour learning processes through the use of new technologies. The evaluation criterion is the development of original ideas, the connection between possible subject areas and the degree of involvement of students. Funding is allocated to the department to which the teacher responsible for and guaranteeing the project refers.

Students wishing to apply, having checked the availability and participation of the reference teacher, may submit their application by 30 November 2021 by completing the online procedure.
