Renewable Energy and Solid Waste Management stood out the most for me. Renewable Energy was entirely project-based—I researched wind turbines, and the final exam was a fun gathering and presentation, which made the subject engaging and stress-free. In Solid Waste Management, we had to design a city's waste management system, which was both challenging and fascinating. These hands-on experiences made learning truly enjoyable and practical.

Learn a little Italian, even simple phrases will help you connect with locals. Be patient with the language barrier at first, but don’t let it stop you from exploring. Try local food beyond pizza and pasta—it’s amazing! Get involved in campus life, whether through clubs or events, to meet new people. Lastly, be ready for some bureaucracy—keep track of paperwork and deadlines. And of course, if you need guidance, help is always around the corner. There’s a perfect balance here between academic challenges and life lessons that you won’t get anywhere else. Enjoy every moment!

Student life in Italy is super fun and never feels monotonous. There are endless places to explore—bars, gelato shops, and even Saturday markets offer something new every week. My favourite spot to relax is Prato della Valle; it’s so peaceful there. I also love the Giardini dell'Arena, especially at night when the lights create a magical atmosphere. On weekends, you can easily plan a day or even a two-day trip to nearby places like Venice, Verona, Bologna, Milan, or Lake Como. There are also plenty of hiking spots if you're into that—it’s always a fun adventure.
