Unipd is one of the largest Italian state universities - with 70,000 students - and is certainly the largest in the North East, always on the podium of the Censis ranking for factors such as the general quality of services and facilities available to students.
In Padova, this large community (students account for about 30% of the population of the municipality) finds a livable and green environment, which has made concrete progress towards sustainability: growing public transport, widespread electric mobility and sharing, and ever-expanding cycle paths.

The classrooms and squares in Padova speak many different languages: in the large student population there are in fact almost 7000 international students regularly enrolled, to which are added the approximately 2500 Erasmus in the city.
Unipd is really everywhere: the buildings, the laboratories, the museums, the libraries, the study rooms are all over the city, and in particular in the historic center, in the student hub of Portello and along the Piovego, but also in Arcella, in the areas of Via Venezia and the hospitals.
