Meet Kyrstia

About myself

I am a French master's student in Economics and Finance. I am currently writing my master's thesis and I expect to graduate between the end of the year and the beginning of next year. In the meantime, I work as an intern in a consulting company.

What did you like the most about your degree programme?

One of the things I liked the most at the University was the small classes allowing proximity with the professors and students.
I also liked that more academic involvement led to more direct recognition. Indeed one peculiarity of Italy is the distinction between attending and non-attending students: if you attend most of the lectures, you'll have access to extra assignments allowing you, for instance, to have bonus points for the final exam.
Working on several group projects has also been very stimulating. For instance, last year I worked on a project mocking a portfolio management analyst’s work: it was exciting as it's very to what we could be doing in a company.
Meeting people from all other the world -> friends from Russia, Turkey, Iran…
The link kept with other students, despite a Master’s degree in majority held online.

5 reasons to become a Unipd student

1. An old university, widely recognized by local and national companies
2. An occasion to embrace a rich culture, with an old history and tradition
3. An incomparable quality of life, bike-friendly
4. An occasion to network with students from incredibly diversified backgrounds and cultures
5. A human-sized city closed to not to be missed cities and places (e.g the possibility of being 30min away from Venice, 1h from the sea )
