Everything will be all right, even though nothing is right. We are currently living an unprecedented situation that is affecting our daily life and university activities alike. Classes are taught online, and students cannot meet in person anymore. In this situation, among all students, international and exchange students are particularly affected by the implementation of social distancing measures. Living far from home is per se very challenging. Living abroad – far from families and friends - in the present situation is even more challenging. Now more than ever, the University as an Institution and the entire academic community have to reduce distances (virtually), show empathy and keep alive the sense of community that unites us all, staff and students. Since mid-March the International Relations Division has launched an information channel to support exchange and international students during this critical period. Zoom meetings have been organized to present and explain to international students and to our students abroad the measures adopted by the University and contextually to give them the opportunity to share their concerns. Starting from April these meetings will be held every week to ensure our continuous and strong support to students. Communication, mutual understanding and solidarity can positively guide us through this difficult period. Then, let’s keep alive our beautiful international community, in spite of physical social distancing! See you on Friday!
Online meetings for international students will be held every Friday at 5 pm, starting from Friday April 3rd. All international students will receive a communication with all the information to join the meeting. Meetings will not be recorded.
