Once again this year, Maker Faire Rome, Europe’s leading innovation event, is giving space to the key players in scientific, academic, and technological research through the Call for Universities and Research Institutes 2025, which will reward the most deserving projects from public universities and research institutions.
The 13th edition of Maker Faire Rome will take place from 17 to 19 October 2025 at the Gazometro Ostiense in Rome. Innovation will take center stage in all its forms: from digital manufacturing to IoT, from robotics to artificial intelligence, from agritech to big data, biohacking, and the latest developments in the metaverse and augmented reality.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for public universities and research institutes to present their research and development projects to the general public and increase the international visibility of their work. Students will have the chance to engage with companies, start-ups, institutions, and other research centers.
The deadline for submitting projects by students, faculty, and research staff has been extended to 7 July 2025.
Participation options include:
• Project exhibition, with the choice of a free raw space or a pre-fitted 8 m² booth (for a fee);

Once again this year, Maker Faire Rome, Europe’s leading innovation event, is giving space to the key players in scientific, academic, and technological research through the Call for Universities and Research Institutes 2025, which will reward the most deserving projects from public universities and research institutions.
The 13th edition of Maker Faire Rome will take place from 17 to 19 October 2025 at the Gazometro Ostiense in Rome. Innovation will take center stage in all its forms: from digital manufacturing to IoT, from robotics to artificial intelligence, from agritech to big data, biohacking, and the latest developments in the metaverse and augmented reality.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for public universities and research institutes to present their research and development projects to the general public and increase the international visibility of their work. Students will have the chance to engage with companies, start-ups, institutions, and other research centers.
The deadline for submitting projects by students, faculty, and research staff has been extended to 7 July 2025.
Participation options include:
• Project exhibition, with the choice of a free raw space or a pre-fitted 8 m² booth (for a fee);
• Workshops in the new “Make Lab – Let’s Create Together” area (with potential reimbursement, as per regulations);
• Live performances, in a physical or virtual space – including creative, tech, robotic, or musical shows;
• Talks.
