On November 13, from 3 to 5 p.m., the Sala delle Edicole in the Palazzo del Capitanio will host a keynote speech on the topic of science communication by Prof. Sarah Davies, University of Vienna, entitled “Why should we care about public communication of research? Reflecting on the role of science communication in society”.
The initiative is part of the first edition of the training course for PhD students at the University of Padua entitled “Science Communication and knowledge valorisation: practices and tools”, designed by the University of Padua with Venice International University and it offers to the participants the awareness, knowledge and tools useful to effectively communicate the results of scientific research, addressing different categories of audiences, through different media.
The talk is opened by institutional greetings from Prof. Monica Fedeli, Vice Rector of the Third Mission and Regional Relations.
Prof. Davies is a lecturer in Technosciences, Materiality, & Digital Cultures at the Department of Science and Technology Studies, University of Vienna. On November 13, from 3 to 5 p.m., the Sala delle Edicole in the Palazzo del Capitanio will host a keynote speech on the topic of science communication by Prof. Sarah Davies, University of Vienna, entitled “Why should we care about public communication of research? Reflecting on the role of science communication in society”.
The initiative is part of the first edition of the training course for PhD students at the University of Padua entitled “Science Communication and knowledge valorisation: practices and tools”, designed by the University of Padua with Venice International University and it offers to the participants the awareness, knowledge and tools useful to effectively communicate the results of scientific research, addressing different categories of audiences, through different media.
