Services

The Uno, due, tre.... Stage! pathway, curated by the employment guidance section of the Career service, aims to prepare people to make the most of their internship experience, providing useful guidance on the skills to work on and the behaviours to prioritise.

The first step of the pathway involves watching the video uploaded to the Career service office's mediaspace channel, by logging in with SSO.

The following topics will be explored in the video:

  • behavioural aspects relating to settling in, especially during the first few days;
  • aspects relating to communication in an organisational context;
  • basic skills and soft skills to be developed for effective integration;
  • the different roles of the parties involved: company tutor, university tutor and Career service support

The second part of the pathway involves choosing some modules on the Moodle platform to increase awareness of the main soft skills required in the world of work and of some of the dynamics involved in entering employment:

  • teamwork,
  • effective communication,
  • problem solving and negotiation,
  • organisational culture and ethics at work,
  • succeeding in the workplace.

People enrolled on the University's degree programmes who are planning to undertake a traineeship or an internship may take part.

In compliance with the provisions of Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments and additions, and the State-Regions agreements of 21/12/2011 and 07/07/2016, students, graduates, during the period of traineeship, are treated as workers; they must therefore receive adequate training in health and safety at work consisting of:

General training course, for which the promoting body (University of Padua) is responsible
The general training course (duration: 4 hours) is completed online before filling in the training agreement, and the details must be entered in the training agreement.
It is available on the University training Moodle platform (by logging in with institutional SSO credentials)

Specific training course, provided by the host organisation (company or body)
Depending on the level of risk to which the trainee will be exposed, the host organisation (company or body) is required to provide specific training for low risk (4 hours), medium risk (8 hours) or high risk (12 hours), taking into account any specific training already completed by the trainee.
In order to add value to the training pathway, the University of Padua has already activated the specific training course in e-learning mode for those employed:

  • in office activities or similar, and in exclusively IT laboratories, specific low-risk training course (duration: 4 hours)
  • in scientific laboratories (indoor and outdoor), specific high-risk training course (duration: 12 hours)

The specific training courses are available on the University training Moodle platform.
The certificate obtained at the end of one of the two above-mentioned courses may be sent to the host organisation (company or body) for the assessment of the specific training completed.
