Whether your young person has set their eyes on UniPD or has already been admitted, the University of Padua provides them with a plethora of dedicated supporting services,to ensure they can proceed smoothly throughout their academic journey. From the moment they begin their application process to their graduation day, they will be supported every step of the way.

Every English-taught degree programme has a dedicated International Desk offering ongoing support throughout the student’s academic journey. It is dedicated, department-based support and guidance to international students interested in English-taught programmes — from application and orientation to academic advising throughout their studies... until their graduation!

Orientation and application phase

Applicants and their supporters may seek a more personal and in-depth understanding of the University or may have specific questions about the application process. To support you during this stage, we offer a range of services designed to provide clarity and insight:

  • Book an online meeting with our International Recruitment Team, during the weekly Q&A group session
  • Join one of our many online events: Meet Unipd and Open weeks are a great way to discover our University from the comfort of your home
  • Connect with a current student to hear firsthand about their UniPD experience
  • Visit us with a personalized Campus Tour with the International Desk

Once enrolled, we continue to offer ongoing support in every aspect of university life.

  Arriving in Padua

Arriving in Padua: moving to another country is exciting yet challenging! At UniPD we do our best to ensure this transition is as smooth as possible.

Newly arrived students can:

  • Connect with their assigned Buddy from the moment they land!
  • Learn the basics of Italian though specific language classes for first-year students
  • Get assistance with Residence Permit
  • Meet classmates and future professors at Welcome Meetings

  Living in Padua

Living in Padua: your young person will not take long to feel at home in our Univer-city!

Here are some tips we would like to share:

  • Secure accommodation in advance: UniPD partners with several private colleges and our housing office offers free consultancy on contracts for those wishing to rent in the private market
  • Register for the National Health Service to benefit from public health care services like Italians do. More information is available here
  • Take advantage of public transportation: discounts on buses and bike sharing services are available for UNIPD students
  • Be sure to attend our Onboarding activities

Studying in Padua: a well-rounded academic experience with many adds-on!

  • Receive guidance from a tutor
  • Spend a semester or a year abroad thanks to our mobility programmes
  • Learn a different language at our Language Centre
  • Keep playing their favourite sport at our University Sport Centre
  • Be supported when they feel under the weather thanks to the dedicated Psychological Assistance Support (SCUP)
