I obtained my PhD from the University of Barcelona in Cognitive Science and Language. I was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship from the Catalan Government at the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences at the University of Trento. I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Developmental and Social Psychology (DPSS) at the University of Padua.
My research interests focus on the influence of language on other cognitive abilities, such as decision-making, judgment, and perception. I have also a line of research aimed at understanding the factors that influence credibility and truth judgments. In addition, I am interested in studying how humans efficiently communicate their communicative intentions to others, a capacity that represents one of the most remarkable abilities of our species. These lines of research are conducted across languages of different modalities, such as spoken and sign languages, and in both monolingual and bilingual individuals.
