During enrolment in the Open Semester it is possible to indicate up to a maximum of ten locations for the main course and up to ten preferences for related courses.
The lessons of the Open Semester are attended at the university indicated as the first choice for the main course.

Places available for the main courses at the University of Padova for the year 2025-2026:

  • Medicine and Surgery - Padova campus: 480 EU and 6 non-EU places (including 2 Marco Polo)
  • Medicine and Surgery  - Treviso campus: 97 EU and 3 non-EU places (including 2 Marco Polo)
  • Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics - Padova campus: 25 EU and 2 non-EU positions (including 1 Marco Polo)
  • Medicine and Surgery - Legnaro campus: 96 EU and 4 non-EU positions (including 1 Marco Polo)

If you have a qualification obtained abroad, once you have completed the enrolment procedure, you will be contacted by the Admissions and Welcome sector to verify the documentation relating to the access qualification, which must be obtained and updated on your Uniweb personal page by 31 July 2026.

Enrolment in the open semester and in the related degree course is conditional:

To proceed with the study visa application, it is mandatory to make the pre-enrolment application through the Universitaly platform by 25 July 2025.

The following breakdown of the enrolment fee for the filter/open semester is envisaged:

  • €250 for people with an ISEE of more than €30,000 or who do not submit the ISEE declaration within the required deadlines;
  • €200 for people with an ISEE greater than €22,000 and less than or equal to €30,000, provided that they submit their ISEE certification by the deadline for registration;
  • total exemption for people with  an ISEE less than or equal to 22,000 euros, provided that they submit their ISEE certification by the deadline for registration.

Those who, at the end of the open semester, will enrol in one of the LMCU Courses in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics and Veterinary Medicine, or in a degree course other than those recognized as "similar" pursuant to Ministerial Decree 418/2025, are required to pay the annual tuition fees, calculated according to the provisions in force in the university of enrolment (including regional tax for the right to study and revenue stamp), with a reduction in the enrolment fee already paid.

For those who enrol in a "related" course, the annual tuition fees will be recalculated in relation to the duration of the second semester.
