For Academic Year 2026/2027, you will need to submit your application within one of the following calls:

- Call Two: 2 March 2026 – 2 May 2026
- Call Three: 2 June 2025 – 2 August 2026 (only for EU students and non-EU students residing in Italy)
The program trains high-level data scientists with advanced expertise in statistical methodologies and applications, a critical approach to problem-solving, and a broad, informed understanding of data management—that is, the handling and manipulation of data.
Over the two years, it offers an interdisciplinary education that prepares graduates to work in a wide range of contexts, including public-sector companies, universities, and research institutions.
Graduates in Statistical Sciences are experts in extracting knowledge from data and are able to:
_ identify the most effective statistical techniques to address complex problems;
_ independently manage all phases of the scientific process, from designing data collection tools to analyzing and presenting results;
_ communicate analysis results clearly, adapting to different audiences (both specialists and non-specialists);
_ work collaboratively in teams and interact with professionals from other disciplines.

Characteristics and objectives
The program is aimed at shaping students highly skilled in the field of data science, statistical analysis anche data management with sound expertise both on technical and substantive side. Graduated students are able to apply statistical theories and techniques for collecting, analysing and summarizing information, in order to give interpretative models of data, identify solutions to adopt in all the sectors of service and goods production, and increase the scientific knowledge.
The program makes the student achieve a sound double learning core: one focused on applied mathematics and statistics, and the other focused on statistical methods and models with applications to several fields. On these cores, a specialistic formation is built, characterised by further methodological, computational, applied skills, with applications in business, social and demographic sciences, technology and biostatistics.
