The program, delivered entirely in English, is structured over six years and trains physicians with integrated skills in clinical, biomedical, informatics, and statistical fields. It develops the conscious use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in medical practice and research. The course promotes transdisciplinary education, with a strong international outlook and interaction with biotechnological research, offering internships and research opportunities. The program provides the possibility of obtaining a second degree, preparing students to work in multidisciplinary contexts. It qualifies graduates for the medical profession and provides access to specializations, doctoral programs, and master's degrees at an international level, while maintaining a central focus on patient care. Graduates will be able to work in public or private institutions, including as independent professionals, both autonomously and in teams, in Italy and abroad.

Characteristics and objectives

The Single-Cycle Master’s Degree Program in Medicine and Health Technology – MedTech, belonging to the Ministerial Class LM-41 and delivered in English, trains physicians with integrated expertise in biomedical/clinical, bioengineering, bioinformatics/statistical fields.
The program, aligned with the international standards of the World Federation of Medical Education, develops the ability to use and understand digital technologies, artificial intelligence and bioengineering in medical practice and clinical research.

Structured over six years for a total of 360 ECTS credits, of which at least 60 are dedicated to internships, the program promotes transdisciplinary education, interaction with biotechnological/bioengineering research, and a strong international orientation.

A distinctive feature is the opportunity to obtain supplemental ECTS credits to achieve an additional degree in Biomedical Engineering (L-8/L-9) or in Biology of Human and Environmental Health (L-13).

Occupational opportunities

The program qualifies graduates for the medical profession and provides access to specialization schools, PhD programs, and university master’s degrees. Graduates may be hired as registered physicians in public and private healthcare institutions, research
centers, universities, health organizations, and companies in the biomedical and healthcare sectors, both nationally and internationally.
The acquired skills will enable them to combine clinical practice with the ability to interpret and apply technological and digital innovations in medicine, while keeping patient care and the human person at the center.
