Double Degree and Joint Degree Programs
The University of Padova offers international training courses defined and organized in collaboration with one or more partner institutions. These courses include a period of attendance in the foreign campuses (s) that follow, or precede, the period of study in Padova.
At the end of the international training course, students obtain a double degree (two or more national degrees issued by the universities involved) or a joint degree (awarded jointly by two or more of the partner institutions), depending on the provisions of the various national regulations and agreements with the partner institutions.

The initiative, promoted by the most prestigious European polytechnics and engineering faculties, allows engineering students to attend two years of study at one of the foreign partner universities: the French Grandes Écoles of Paris, Nantes, Lille, Lyon and Marseille, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the Universidade Tecnica de Lisboa and the Technical University of Denmark. At the end of the course of study, students receive a double degree from the University of Padua and the foreign university where part of the training activity was carried out.
TRANSFOR-M is a two-year first-cycle/Bachelor's degree course that allows you to obtain a double degree in Forestry and Environmental Management. Initially funded by the European Commission and Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) under the Transatlantic Degree Partnership (TDP) syllabus, from 2010 to 2014, this project is in turn a continuation of TRANSFOR (2005-2008). Student mobility now continues without external funding.
TRANSFOR-M students are trained in modern methods of sustainable forestry and environmental management, through an approach that is attentive to cultural and situational differences, thus acquiring a global vision capable of taking into account the existing multi-cultural perspectives on environmental, economic and cultural issues.
They can choose from the numerous second-cycle study programs offered by the participating departments and faculties, based both on the development of the dissertation alone, and on the attendance of courses and will spend one year in Canada and one year in Europe for the attendance of the study syllabus taught in English.
During the mobility period, students will pay to their home university (or university of first enrolment) the enrolment fees and all compulsory contributions required for enrolment in the degree course to which they have been admitted. During their stay at the partner university, they will not pay admission or enrolment fees (except, if required, any compulsory contributions).
