Meet Nodirbek

About myself

Hello! I'm originally from Uzbekistan, with a background in general economics. In 2023, I was accepted into Accounting Finance and Business consulting, and now, here I am, living the life I've always dreamed about.
Padua has been an incredible place to pursue my academic and personal goals. The university offers a lot of opportunities for students to grow and prepare for their future careers. One of the most valuable resources for me has been the Unipd Career website, where they regularly post internships and job opportunities. Thanks to this platform, I was able to find an internship related to my field of studies that I'm currently undertaking for six months.
In addition to the Unipd Career website, Padua also provides other invaluable resources, such as career coaching programmes, live interview days with big companies, alumni connections, and webinars sharing their experiences. These resources have been instrumental in helping me navigate my academic and professional journey and prepare for a successful future in my chosen field.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to study in such a vibrant and supportive institution like the University of Padua, where I'm able to pursue my passions and gain valuable real-world experience that will set me up for success in my career.

Why did you choose the University of Padua and the Accounting, Finance and Business Consulting degree programme?

Choosing the University of Padua and the Accounting, Finance, and Business Consulting degree programme was a natural fit for me. During my internship at a local bank in Uzbekistan, I saw firsthand the immense potential of the financial sector in my country. This experience sparked my keen interest in finance and banking.
I chose Padua because of its outstanding reputation and comprehensive curriculum. I firmly believe that studying here will equip me with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in finance and consulting. Moreover, the diverse community at Padua will provide me with a global perspective, which is crucial as I aspire to contribute to the development of Uzbekistan's financial sector.
Overall, I am genuinely excited to pursue my passion for finance and consulting at Padua, and I am confident that this experience will prepare me for a successful and fulfilling career in this dynamic field.

What are the main features of your degree programme?

First off all, it's like a buffet of subjects - you get a taste of accounting, finance, and consulting all in one place. This helps you see how they fit together, which is super important in the real world.
We've got some key classes too, like financial accounting and corporate finance. They give you a rock-solid foundation to build on.
But here's the exciting part - it's not just about hitting the books. You'll roll up your sleeves and dive into real projects. Thinking how to solve problems, getting hands-on with data, and even scoring an internship if you're up for it.
You'll learn how to analyze data, work in teams like a pro, and think critically - stuff that'll set you apart in the job market and teachers. They're top-notch. They've been there, done that in finance and consulting, so you know you're getting the real deal.
Plus, you've got some say in the classes you take. It's like crafting your own adventure to fit your interests and career goals. So, our programme sets you up for success in accounting, finance, consulting - you name it. It's all about giving you the tools you need to thrive in the real world.

Is there any class/subject that has stood out to you so far?

One class that has really stood out to me is Corporate Reporting and Group Accounting. In this class, we dive deep into analyzing financial statements, understanding financial performance, and making informed decisions based on financial data. It's been fascinating to learn how to interpret balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and to see how these numbers tell the story of a company's financial health.
What I love most about this class is how practical it is. We don't just learn theory; we apply it to real-world scenarios and case studies. We learn how to spot trends, identify strengths and weaknesses, and make recommendations for improvement. It's been incredibly rewarding to see how the skills we're learning in class can be directly applied to solving problems and making strategic decisions in the business world.

What do you like most about the City of Padua and why?

What I love most about Padua is its blend of rich history and vibrant energy. As a university city, it offers countless opportunities for students to thrive and grow. From the stunning architecture and bustling markets to the sense of community and warmth, Padua truly has something for everyone. It's a place where tradition meets innovation, and where every corner holds the promise of new adventures and opportunities for students to explore and excel.

What do you do when you’re not studying?

When I'm not hitting the books, you'll often find me outdoors, exploring nature with friends. Whether it's hiking in the mountains, relaxing in the park, or simply soaking up the sunshine, being outdoors is my favorite way to unwind and recharge. I also enjoy staying active through sports and fitness activities like running and hitting the gym.
Additionally, I have a passion for travel and love exploring new places whenever I get the chance. Whether it's a weekend getaway to a nearby city or a backpacking trip to a foreign country, I'm always eager to expand my horizons and experience new cultures.
