Meet Adetokunboh from Nigeria
Student of European and Global Studies
"Choosing this path has been one of the most defining decisions of my life, and I have no regrets as it continues to pave the way for a brighter future."
About myself
My name is Adetokunboh Adebayo Adesuyi. I am currently a first-year master's student studying European and Global Studies at the University of Padua. I am a dedicated thinker, and I hold a bachelor's degree in International Law and Diplomacy from Babcock University, Ogun State, Nigeria.
As a Padua Excellence Scholar, my research focuses on migration studies, the politics of movement, active migrant activism, and European regional policy. In this regard, I explore cross-border solidarity, the role of witnessing during transitions, the shifting concept of national identity, and the dynamics of migration. My experience is a testament to a boy who envisioned himself as one who sets a strong pace worthy of emulation for the next generation. In doing this, I had to consciously reshape my goals.
From simple origins in Nigeria to becoming a scholarship recipient in Italy, my story is one of persistence and determination, with an unwavering resolve reflecting my commitment to make a lasting impact through meaningful policy reform and through academic contributions that shape future discourse. I aim to build upon the works of scholars, many of whom are my professors and mentors within my field of study. I have always believed that being a product of hard work will propel me to great success. Indeed, every dream is valid, but it is steadfastness that makes it achievable.
As a long-term career plan, I aim to become a Professor of Public Policy and Administration while also contributing to knowledge in the areas of regional convergence and economic growth.
