Searching for an internship abroad
We update a "showcase" where it is possible to view offers reserved for students and those who have already graduated from the University of Padua. To view the showcase and apply for an offer, it is necessary to access the restricted area using the username and password for your University email account. For each application, an email will be sent with the outcome of the pre-selection.
For international internship opportunities, it is also possible to record a "video CV" in a foreign language, which may be viewed together with the information in the electronic CV.
International companies may contact candidates for a remote interview, an initial interview held remotely, using software made available by the University.
Call for applications for 377 curricular traineeships at the diplomatic missions, consular offices and Italian cultural institutes of the Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale.
Participation in the programme involves undertaking a traineeship included in the study plan and the registration of the संबंधित university credits (ECTS credits). The traineeship will last 3 months in the period 11 gennaio – 9 aprile 2027.
Those undertaking the traineeship will be engaged in carrying out research, studies, analyses and data processing useful for the further examination of the dossiers handled by each office. Students may also be involved in organising events and assisting MAECI staff in external outreach activities.
Before proceeding with the submission of the application, interested persons are required to check the compatibility and consistency of the activities envisaged by the traineeship with their study plan and with other ongoing educational experiences (e.g. study/traineeship mobility);
In the event of any incompatibilities or inconsistencies, the University will consider the application unsuitable for the purposes of the selection process.
The mode in which the traineeship is to be carried out (in person/remotely from Italy) is indicated in the call.
Only for traineeships carried out in person is a monthly expense reimbursement of 300 euros gross provided.
For traineeships carried out in person in non-EU countries, it is mandatory to obtain health insurance valid in the destination country.
The deadline for submitting applications is 28 settembre 2026, ore 17.
Through the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility action, the University of Padua is offering 6 grants for traineeships in Albania, Bosnia, USA.
The Call is open to students enrolled in bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and single-cycle master’s degree programmes. It is not possible to undertake post-graduation mobility under this Call.
The grant is awarded for credit-bearing traineeships.
The minimum duration of traineeship mobility is 2 months, to be completed by 31 July 2027.
The call from Consorzio SEND offers students on all degree courses 60 Erasmus+ mobility grants for a traineeship abroad lasting from two to three months, to be carried out between 15 September 2026 and 28 February 2027.
The grants are aimed at developing professional skills related to social, technological and economic innovation, understood as the set of activities, strategies and innovative ideas intended to trigger change and economic, social and technological development in the dual green and digital transition.

As with the University call, it is not possible to undertake mobility at University institutions in Regno Unito and Svizzera.

The network of Italian schools abroad constitutes a resource for promoting the Italian language and culture, as well as for maintaining the cultural identity of the daughters and sons of fellow nationals and citizens of Italian origin. Present throughout the world, Italian Schools represent a means of spreading ideas, projects and initiatives, in coordination with Embassies and Consulates and with the priorities of Italian foreign policy.
Lastly, Italian Schools are often a point of reference in the countries in which they operate, as they can generate long-term returns for Italy in every sector: cultural, political and economic. The traineeships proposed in this call will take place at six comprehensive state institutes based in Atene, Barcellona, Istanbul, Madrid, Parigi and Zurigo.
Trainees, motivated to undertake an experience within schools, will actively collaborate in the design of teaching pathways by supporting teachers in their activities. They will have the opportunity to work alongside students in assisted study activities or creative workshops, becoming cultural bridges between Italy and the local context. They will be engaged in research, studies, analyses and data processing, supporting staff, and institutional communication. They may also be involved in the organisation of events and assist MAECI and School staff in external outreach activities.
Participation in the programme requires the completion of a traineeship included in the study plan and the registration of the related university credits (ECTS credits); the traineeship will last three months and will take place in person from 7 September to 7 December 2026.
Interested students are required to check in advance that the traineeship is compatible with their study plan and with any other educational activities currently under way.
A monthly reimbursement of expenses of 300 euros gross is provided.
For traineeships carried out in person in non-EU countries, it is compulsory to obtain health insurance valid in the destination country.
Vulcanus in Giappone offers students from the EU or from a country associated with the Single Market Programme (SME pillar) the opportunity to undertake a funded traineeship at a Japanese company. The programme takes place entirely in Giappone and lasts 8 months, from August to March of the following year. The initiative is aimed at students enrolled in specific master’s degree and PhD programmes in the scientific and engineering fields.

The European Central Bank (ECB) is recruiting trainees in the field of IT security.
The National Science and Technology Council of Taiwan (NSTC) has launched the Programma Pilota di Tirocinio Internazionale 2026 a Taiwan (IIPP). This programme offers traineeship opportunities for international students to experience Taiwan’s strengths in science and technology and to promote their connections with researchers in the industrial and governmental sectors in Taiwan. The IIPP platform offers traineeship opportunities with subsidies for international students, matching trainee applicants with upcoming research issues at Taiwanese research institutions.
Requirements: the programme is open to international students enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree Programme, master's degree, and PhD who are studying abroad. Applicants must have expertise in Taiwan’s main fields of science and technology, including the humanities and social sciences.
Duration: the traineeship will begin between June and December 2026.
Application deadline: 15 July 2026.
