The University of Padua, as part of its UniPadova Sostenibile actions, will once again join the “M’illumino di Meno” [I light up less] campaign promoted by Caterpillar and Rai Radio 2, scheduled for 16 February 2023, the National Energy Saving Day.

The University of Padua, as part of its UniPadova Sostenibile actions, will once again join the “M’illumino di Meno” [I light up less] campaign promoted by Caterpillar and Rai Radio 2, scheduled for 16 February 2023, the National Energy Saving Day.
In addition to symbolically switching off the lights, this year’s invitation is to explore the topic of renewable energy communities, which will be the focus of a series of short interviews with lecturers, representatives of associations and institutions, and the University’s energy manager. These interviews will soon be published on the Instagram channel @unipadovasostenibile to encourage reflection on the issue of renewable energy communities from various perspectives.
Concerning switching off the lights, along with hundreds of monuments and buildings all over Italy, even lights at Palazzo del Bo, the University’s historical heart, and Palazzo Storione, the headquarters of the central administration, will also be switched off at approximately 6.00 pm.
Hence, once again this year, the University of Padua invites everybody to join the initiative of switching off the lights wherever possible.
