Held on 11 November in the Sala dei Giganti, 8 p.m., the concert marks 550 years since the great Polish scientist’s birth, 480 years since his death, and 150 years since Poland became an independent state.
Inspired by his astronomical theories, the concert welcomes the Polish vocal sextet proMODERN joined by the voices of the University of Padua’s Concentus Musicus Patavinus choir, as they perform the ‘Copernicus Program’ of songs based on the rising and setting of the sun.
The concert is free upon reservation only.
The Music Together 1st edition concert series is organized by the Concentus Musicus Patavinus in collaboration with proMODERN vocal sextet of Poland, the Collegium Musicum Almae Matris Choir of the University of Bologna, and the Vocal Group of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. The concert series follows the 11 November event, with two more on 3 December 2023 and 20 January 2024.

Held on 11 November in the Sala dei Giganti, 8 p.m., the concert marks 550 years since the great Polish scientist’s birth, 480 years since his death, and 150 years since Poland became an independent state.
Inspired by his astronomical theories, the concert welcomes the Polish vocal sextet proMODERN joined by the voices of the University of Padua’s Concentus Musicus Patavinus choir, as they perform the ‘Copernicus Program’ of songs based on the rising and setting of the sun.
The concert is free upon reservation only.
The Music Together 1st edition concert series is organized by the Concentus Musicus Patavinus in collaboration with proMODERN vocal sextet of Poland, the Collegium Musicum Almae Matris Choir of the University of Bologna, and the Vocal Group of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. The concert series follows the 11 November event, with two more on 3 December 2023 and 20 January 2024.

proMODERN won five Polish music industry Fryderyk awards. The prestigious recognition is thanks to ten years of uninterrupted success after its formation, as the sextet has become synonymous with the highest quality in the field of vocal music. Over the course of their career, the group has recorded four albums, awarded with various awards, and currently working on two more. The group has performed many unpublished pieces and have played alongside some of Poland’s most prestigious orchestras, including the National Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio (NOSPR) at the Warsaw Autumn Festival, the Orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia, and the Orchestra of the National Music Forum.
