Students, researchers, and faculty members working on innovative projects can still apply for the Universities and Research Institutes Call to participate in the 12th edition of the Maker Faire Rome held at the Gazometro (Ostiense district) from 25 to 27 October 2024 thanks to an extension of its deadline to June 20.
Promoted and organized by the Rome Chamber of Commerce, Maker Faire Rome facilitates an open conversation on innovation by engaging with people and their ideas within physical and virtual ecosystems.
Innovation is at the center of the 3-day Faire, covering digital manufacturing, the Internet of Things, robotics, artificial intelligence, agritech, digital manufacturing, big data, aerospace, up to the latest discoveries of the metaverse, and augmented reality.
With the Call for Universities and Research Institutes, Maker Faire Rome promotes innovation through the diffusion of digital culture and the development of individual and collective entrepreneurship by rewarding the most deserving submitted projects from public universities and research institutes.
The projects presented at the Call will also participate in any contests promoted by Maker Faire Rome and/or by partners linked to the Call itself.
The call for projects remains open until 20 June 2024 (no longer June 3).
The selected projects received a physical space at the Faire as well as several participatory platforms;
- present your project: a space will be provided for curious onlookers and interested visitors to enquire about and enjoy your project. The free-of-charge bare stands allow exhibitors to manage the space themselves ( while the pre-fitted 8 m2 stand costs 400.00 euros
- perform activities: a physical and/or virtual space allows exhibitors to present activities related to event themes by sharing, demonstrating workshops, and interactive performances.
- public performances: a physical and/or virtual space or a physical and/or virtual stage is provided, allowing exhibitors to offer creative, technological, robotic, or musical performances as webinars to facilitate the enjoyment and dissemination among the public

Students, researchers, and faculty members working on innovative projects can still apply for the Universities and Research Institutes Call to participate in the 12th edition of the Maker Faire Rome held at the Gazometro (Ostiense district) from 25 to 27 October 2024 thanks to an extension of its deadline to June 20.
Promoted and organized by the Rome Chamber of Commerce, Maker Faire Rome facilitates an open conversation on innovation by engaging with people and their ideas within physical and virtual ecosystems.
Innovation is at the center of the 3-day Faire, covering digital manufacturing, the Internet of Things, robotics, artificial intelligence, agritech, digital manufacturing, big data, aerospace, up to the latest discoveries of the metaverse, and augmented reality.
With the Call for Universities and Research Institutes, Maker Faire Rome promotes innovation through the diffusion of digital culture and the development of individual and collective entrepreneurship by rewarding the most deserving submitted projects from public universities and research institutes.
The projects presented at the Call will also participate in any contests promoted by Maker Faire Rome and/or by partners linked to the Call itself.
The call for projects remains open until 20 June 2024 (no longer June 3).
The selected projects received a physical space at the Faire as well as several participatory platforms;
- present your project: a space will be provided for curious onlookers and interested visitors to enquire about and enjoy your project. The free-of-charge bare stands allow exhibitors to manage the space themselves ( while the pre-fitted 8 m2 stand costs 400.00 euros
- perform activities: a physical and/or virtual space allows exhibitors to present activities related to event themes by sharing, demonstrating workshops, and interactive performances.
- public performances: a physical and/or virtual space or a physical and/or virtual stage is provided, allowing exhibitors to offer creative, technological, robotic, or musical performances as webinars to facilitate the enjoyment and dissemination among the public
