Haridas Kar is a PNRR Young Researcher in the Department of Chemical Sciences at the University of Padova since December 2022.
Haridas was born in Musabani, India. He received M.Sc. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India, in 2011. He carried out his doctoral research in supramolecular and polymer chemistry in the laboratory of Professor Suhrit Ghosh at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), India, and obtained his Ph.D. in 2017. Haridas then moved to Madison, where he worked in the area of fabrication of cellulose nanocrystal with Professor Padma Gopalan, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. After his first postdoc, he joined as an MSCA Seal of Excellence Fellow in the group of Professor Leonard Jan Prins, University of Padua. His research interests are Systems Chemistry, Reaction-diffusion systems, Self-assembly of Supramolecular Polymers and Biopolymers.
