Supports for class attendance, individual study and exams
Classroom presence is one of the main vehicles of inclusion, as it guarantees a sharing of spaces and opportunities for exchange and relationships with lecturers and classmates. To encourage participation in teaching activities and in the life of the University, the University of Padova provides dedicated services, including the support of a tutor to reach lessons or other educational and institutional activities.
In accordance with the provisions of the new information on the processing of personal data belonging to special categories, Uniweb will transmit to teachers, through Moodle, the data of those who have reported a condition of disability, specific learning disorders (SLD) and other certified needs (SEN). Teachers and students can contact each other, by email or during office hours, to identify the most appropriate measures to ensure the best conditions of usability of the lessons.
Useful suggestions can be found in the section of Moodle dedicated to accessibility and inclusive teaching.
For those who have enrolled in the open semester, supports will be provided compatibly with the available resources and according to the indications under "Inclusion and accessibility".
The Inclusion Sector offers an accompaniment service on foot or by public transport(buses, trams ) dedicated to students who need the support of a tutor to reach lessons or other educational and institutional activities. The service, which takes place within the Municipality of Padova, is active during teaching periods and during exam sessions, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., from Monday to Friday.
Requests must be received by the Tuesday of the week prior to the week in which the service is needed, by sending the form attached to accompagnamenti.studenti@unipd.it
If you are resident or domiciled in Veneto, the city's public transport system provides for the issue of reduced-rate passes that are also valid for an accompanying person: for fares and regulations, it is advisable to contact Trenitalia and Busitalia Veneto directly or the province of residence.
Students with reduced mobility who need equipped vehicles to reach university classrooms can apply to the Inclusion Sector for a financial contribution to meet the expenses associated with the public or private service of their choice. Some operators that provide this service at discounted prices are present in Studiare a Padova Card, or you can consult the page Getting around Padova in the section "Taxi or vehicles equipped for people with disabilities".
To apply for the financial contribution, it is necessary to be in possession of a disability certification. The disbursement of the contribution takes place every two months. For further information, please write to inclusione.studenti@unipd.it
The University provides students with disabilities, learning difficulties (SLD) and other situations of vulnerability with tools and services useful for removing obstacles and achieving their goals by developing or improving their learning strategies and the greatest possible autonomy in the management of the course of study.
The service is aimed at all students who encounter difficulties in managing their studies, offering group courses to enhance and optimize their study method.
Tutors for inclusion are specifically trained students of master's or PhD degrees who collaborate with the Inclusion Sector of the Student Services Office in order to promote:
- a positive attitude towards the disciplines under study and the use of effective strategies and methods of study management;
- the propensity to actively participate in university life (attendance of lectures, seminar activities, initiation of satisfactory and productive relationships with classmates, teachers, department representatives for inclusion and disability and more).
The "tutoring for inclusion" is dedicated in particular to people enrolled in the first year of three-year or single-cycle degree courses, in order to stimulate greater levels of autonomy and self-regulation in the students who benefit from the service and to maximize their progress and university success.
Therefore, those who need help in organizing their course of study, those who have difficulties in studying a specific subject, or interacting with classmates and teachers, can ask for the support of a tutor, who has the task of giving support in the organization or preparation for the exam or in relations with the new context, when you feel the need.
To request it, you need to fill out an online form. After completion, if the Inclusion Sector deems it necessary, it will contact for an online or face-to-face interview to better define the support.
Requests for tutors for Inclusion are taken care of:
For students enrolled in the first year:
- from 10 October to 30 October for the first semester
- from 1 March to 20 March for the second semester
for students enrolled in years subsequent to the first:
- from 15 September to 15 October for the first semester
- from 15 February to 15 March for the second semester
You can send throughout the year, only requests relating to support for the drafting of the degree dissertation.
The assignment takes place by scrolling through a specific ranking, based on the availability of the tutors and their specific skills.
At the Inclusion Sector, for students who present certification of disability or SLD, it is possible to borrow technological aids to support study and teaching activities (for a maximum period of two months as a trial or as a temporary replacement of the proprietary aid), subject to verification of availability, such as:
- Desktop and portable magnifiers
- Keyboards with shield
- Jaws software
- Braille bars
- Speech synthesis (Italian, English, French, Spanish and German)
- portable recorders
- FM and bluetooth transmitters for hearing aids
- Notas Meas (use of transcription and subtitling systems of the lesson in real time)
The aids can be used both in class and in the exam room.
Some aids can be taken on loan for use for educational purposes, by agreeing on their loan with the Student Services Office - Inclusion Sector.
To request it, write to inclusione.studenti@unipd.it
It is possible to access the "Books in alternative format" service, campus at the Central Psychology Library "Fabio Metelli" for:
- the retrieval and supply of material in digital format (if already existing);

SensusAccess
A place dedicated to special needs, to individual study or with the support of tutors for students with disabilities, learning difficulties and other vulnerabilities
Students with disabilities and specific learning disorders (SLD) can request to take the exams in a personalized manner. As well as those who have serious certified health conditions and other diagnoses (SEN), can make requests for compensatory measures and adaptations, as provided for by laws 17/1999 and 170/2010
The data of students who request measures and supports will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the new information on the processing of special categories of personal data.
It is always possible to communicate your withdrawal from the services of the Inclusion Sector (e.g. personalized exams) by writing to inclusione.studenti@unipd.it. In this regard, see art. 10 of the "Methods of exercising rights" policy.
From 3 March 2025, the procedures for requesting and assigning compensatory measures and personalisation of exams are digitised. Students can request the measurements and customizations during the enrolment phase for the exams in Uniweb, also through the Myunipd app.
You can request directly on Uniweb and via app the compensatory measures and supports that the Inclusion Sector has associated with the profile of each student (see the list of compensatory tools and aids visible from Uniweb/app in the downloadable tutorial below).
It is possible to request a personalized exam in Uniweb/app up to 10 days before the date of the exam session (the date of the exam session must be excluded from the count). After 10 days, it will still be possible to register for the exam without compensatory measures.
Only those measures (e.g. concept maps, forms, tutor reader/amanuensis, use of a PC...) that require the organizational intervention of the Inclusion Sector and/or the prior agreement with the teachers continue to be managed in the manner used so far, by filling in the relevant form within 10 days prior to the date of the exam (see the list of compensatory tools and aids in the downloadable tutorial belownot visible from Uniweb/app).
Please note: the date of the exam must be excluded from the count; for example, if the test takes place on February 20th, the deadline for the request will be 11.59 pm on February 10th.
Updating the Myunipd app is crucial to get all the new features. The latest version (1.4.1) is available in the Apple and Android stores. To find out the installed version, you need to access the settings on the "Personal profile" page of Myunipd: under the heading "Exit" there is the reference version of the app.
Graphic representations of knowledge (concept maps, forms...) are compensatory tools to support study that facilitate a performance required in the deficient ability without facilitating it as a whole from a cognitive point of view (MIUR, Guidelines for the right to education attached to the Ministerial Decree of 12 July 2011). They are part of the compensatory measures provided for by Law 170 of 2010, and in some situations can act as a support for written tests or oral presentations. Their use is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, in collaboration with the lecturer, depending on the nature and structure of the exam and the specific needs of the student.
To learn more about maps and forms (what they are for, how to set them correctly, when to use them and more) you can consult these two videos:

The request for a personalized test for each exam date must be submitted within 15 days prior to the date of the test (exclude the day of the exam from the count):
