Padua
Universa universis patavina libertas is the motto that has always characterized the University of Padova, emphasizing the freedom of thought and opinion that has characterized the University since its origin. Eight hundred years of history, science, teachings, discoveries, words and actions make up an exceptional heritage, which in our University also takes shape in the places, objects and works that narrate centuries-old testimonies.
The central and legal headquarters of the University is Palazzo Bo is one of the oldest and most evocative building complexes in Padova.
The first university botanical garden in the world was also born here, now on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites; here the first permanent anatomical theater was completed and the first woman in the world, Elena Lucrezia Cornaro Piscopia, graduated.
In this widespread university campus there are many teaching sites, research areas, and many are decentralized.

Padova offers a wide and diversified range of study courses, covering all disciplinary areas, from the scientific area to the humanities, from the economic-social and pedagogical to the legal, so much so that it is one of the best Italian universities for the quality of teaching. From an increasingly international perspective, in recent years the offer of courses and courses of study entirely in English has grown.
With 8 schools and 32 departments, you can choose from 210 courses of study in all subject areas, including courses and courses of study entirely in English. After graduation, you can continue your journey with master's, PhD, master's and other courses that allow you to specialize or train further.

The schools have the functions of coordinating and rationalizing educational activities, including the proposal for the establishment, activation, modification, deactivation or suppression of courses of study, as well as the management of common services.
The Departments represent the internal branches of the University responsible for carrying out scientific research, teaching and training activities, as well as related or ancillary externally oriented activities.
The University of Padova was among the first in the world to equip itself with a scientific collection for teaching and research purposes: the University's museum collections tell the story of the long journey of knowledge through research, teaching, scientific and technological progress, fascination for the "curious" and a taste for systematic collection, boasting today a heritage of 16 collections and over 1 million artifacts for 4.5 billion in history. The current University Museum System, which includes 11 museums, 8 of which are located in the city of Padova, is coordinated by the University Center for Museums.
