The rich collections of rocks and fossils collected over three centuries document the history of how life has changed and evolved on our planet throughout its geological age

Visitors of the Museum of Geology and Palaeontogy travel through time as they explore the 50 million-year-old fossil found in the Sala dei Pesci Bolca and the exotic paleobotany specimen collections found in the Sala delle Palme.

The exceptional fossil remains preserved in the museum play an important role in research and study while providing information on current climate change conditions.

We must preserve the collection from its inevitable deterioration by maintaining them with careful cleaning and restoration during each passage of time.

Fossils tell a story of our planet, it is our responsibility to ensure their preservation for future generations to learn from and enjoy, but we need your help to do so.
