Final rankings

  Vacant places

Following explicit or tacit withdrawal by successful candidates before the start of the course, any vacant places will be assigned to the next candidates in the ranking, according to the criteria set out in the Call for Admission.

Should any places with funding become available following withdrawals, the following may apply for such vacant places: winners who already enrolled without scholarship, winners of a place without funding who haven’t enrolled by the deadline for the enrolment, the other eligible candidates in the ranking. Those candidates who in the application form indicated that they competed exclusively for unfunded places cannot apply for vacant places with funding. 

Vacant places - Primary phase

List of replacement candidates for the vacant positions

Candidates with the right to a vacant place will be notified through publication of the list of replacement candidates at the address  from 14 September 2018.

Candidates will be required to enrol by 19 September 2018, as provided for in the Call for Admission.

Vacant places - Secondary phase

Any further available places have been published and interested candidates must submit their applications by 26 September 2018 according to the procedure indicated. Candidates who have submitted their applications for vacant places and, according to the order of the final rankings, have the right to enroll, will be contacted directly by the office and will have to complete enrolment by 28 September 2018. Successful applicants without funding who are interested in a vacant place with funding may apply for a place if, within the time allowed, they have also tacitly given up a place without funding.

No notifications will be sent to the candidate’s home address

15 PhD grants reserved for applicants with residence abroad and foreign qualification to attend Doctoral Courses

The University Padova offers, thanks to the contribution of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, 15 fellowships reserved for candidates with residence abroad and foreign qualification. During the 3-year doctoral programme, the successful candidates will be offered full board and lodging at the ESU – Azienda Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario.

Candidates with residence abroad and foreign qualification wishing to compete for these places must select this option in their application.

The Doctoral Courses which candidates can apply for this kind of grants are: Animal and food sciences, Biosciences, Crop Science, Earth Sciences, Economics and Management, Historical geographical and anthropological studies, Industrial Engineering, Information Engineering, Land environment resources and health (lerh), Management engineering and real estate economics, Psychological Sciences, Physics, Space sciences technologies and measurements, Veterinary Sciences.

  China Scholarship Council - University of Padova Scholarships

The University of Padova and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) have created a scholarship programme to enable talented Chinese students to undertake a PhD programme at Padova.
The scholarships build on Padova University’s existing relationship with China. It has, in fact, extensive research links with Chinese research institutions and Universities. This scheme provides Chinese students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential with the opportunity to study for a PhD at the University of Padova. They are supported jointly by the China Scholarship (on behalf of the Chinese Ministry of Education) and the University of Padova.

  Guangzhou University-University of Padova Scholarships

The University of Padova, given the Cooperative agreement on joint education of PhD project between Guangzhou University and the University of Padova, announces a Selection for Admission to the PhD Courses for the academic year 2019/20, 35th series. The selection for Admission is based on academic positions reserved solely for citizens of the People’s Republic of China graduated from Guangzhou University.
