Call for admission to the PhD Courses 2020/21

  Vacant places

Following explicit or tacit withdrawal by successful candidates before the start of the course, any vacant places will be assigned to the next candidates in the ranking, according to the criteria set out in the Call for Admission.

Should any places with funding become available following withdrawals, the following may apply for such vacant places: winners who already enrolled without scholarship, winners of a place without funding who haven’t enrolled by the deadline for the enrolment, the other eligible candidates in the ranking. Those candidates who in the application form indicated that they competed exclusively for unfunded places cannot apply for vacant places with funding.  


List of replacement candidates for the vacant positions

Candidates with the right to a vacant place will be notified through publication of the list of replacement candidates at the address from 16 September 2020.
Candidates will be required to enrol by 21 September 2020, as provided for in the Call for Admission. 


From 24 September 2020, any further available places will be published and interested candidates must submit their applications by 28 September 2020 according to the procedure indicated. Candidates who have submitted their applications for vacant places will be contacted directly by the office and will have to complete enrolment by 30 September 2020. Successful applicants without funding who are interested in a vacant place with funding may apply for a place if, within the time allowed, they have also tacitly given up a place without funding. 

No notifications will be sent to the candidate’s home address.

  China Scholarship Council - University of Padova Scholarships

The University of Padova and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) have created a scholarship programme to enable talented Chinese students to undertake a PhD programme at Padova.
The scholarships build on Padova University’s existing relationship with China. It has, in fact, extensive research links with Chinese research institutions and Universities. This scheme provides Chinese students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential with the opportunity to study for a PhD at the University of Padova. They are supported jointly by the China Scholarship (on behalf of the Chinese Ministry of Education) and the University of Padova.

  Guangzhou University-University of Padova Scholarships

The University of Padova, given the Cooperative agreement on joint education of PhD project between Guangzhou University and the University of Padova, announces a Selection for Admission to the PhD Courses for the academic year 2019/20, 35th series. The selection for Admission is based on academic positions reserved solely for citizens of the People’s Republic of China graduated from Guangzhou University.
