Peihao Sun grew up in China. After finishing his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (USA), he continued to pursue a PhD degree in physics at Stanford University (USA). During his PhD, he worked on a number of projects using X-rays to study the properties of condensed matter systems, in particular disordered materials such as liquids and glasses. Peihao is excited to come to the Department of Physics and Astronomy at University of Padova, where he will carry out his MSCA-IF project under the supervision of Prof. Giulio Monaco. In his project “GlassX”, he will utilize state-of-the-art X-ray instruments to study the structure and dynamics of glasses, aiming to shed light on some of the long-standing open problems in glass physics.
