Characteristics and objectives
The Programme provides solid skills in the design, production and management of products and systems with high technological content. Enables the Mechanical Engineer to management and R&D positions in the manufacturing industry and related services, with focus on both transversal and specialist skills required to address complex interdisciplinary problems.
The Programme has received the EUR-ACE accreditation (European Network for the Accreditation of Engineering Education www.enaee.eu) that provides a set of standards that identifies high-quality engineering degree programmes in Europe and abroad.

The Master's degree opens opportunities in R&D, design and manufacturing of complex mechanical systems, including managerial positions; the multidisciplinary training allows effectiveness and adaptation to companies of different sizes and in diverse businesses.
A Mechanical Engineer can easily find employment in all main industrial sectors, in engineering offices, and in technical departments of public and private organisations. Typical examples are the design and manufacturing of mechanical components, machines and plants; design of processes for the mechanical and other industry; management of production or design departments; planning and organization of maintenance activities; participation in the executive staff of technical departments, power plants, public utilities or similar companies; employment in engineering offices and in industrial laboratories.

Double degree opportunities

Students enrolled in this Master's degree course will be offered the opportunity to apply for a T.I.M.E. - Top International Managers in Engineering - double degree with several internationally renowned universities and polytechnics in Europe and Asia. At the end of the double degree programme, students will obtain a UNIPD Master's Degree and a Master's Degree awarded by the host university.
