A course that pays particular attention to the technological applications of historical, theoretical, and operational skills in the field of entertainment, music, the arts, and visual communication. Students will be able to personalize their educational careers by choosing between a theater-related path (from the historical and philological analysis of text to that of the actual performance), cinematographic and multimedia courses (which deals with the audiovisual sector in terms of historical and theoretical aspects as well as the creation, production, and educational ones) and the path of music and musicology history (n a critical and philological perspective, but also in performative and education). Thanks also to workshops, seminars, and internships students will train to work in multimedia production, as well as in the recreational and cultural services of mass production, publishing, and communication.

Characteristics and objectives
The degree course trains second-cycle graduates with solid specialized theoretical, historical, technical and operational skills in the field of entertainment, music, the arts, visual communication and technological applications. In addition to the theoretical and philological foundations of the history of entertainment and music, it also provides techniques and methodologies for textual analysis and multimedia processing.
The course focuses on two distinguishable factors, the theoretical-methodological and the historical-critical understanding of the humanities.
Thanks to specific lessons, workshops, seminars, internships and relationships established in the Veneto region, the course offers the possibility to acquire practical awareness of the conception and creation of multimedia products, including those of an interdisciplinary nature. It also trains competent researchers in individual disciplinary areas who are attentive to current communication strategies and the innovative development of the cultural industry.
The training offers a single curriculum structured to allow for multi- and interdisciplinary coursework or single-specific discipline coursework such as:
- cinematic and multimedia productions aimed at the historical, theoretical, aesthetic, philological, legal, and economic aspects of the history of cinema and new forms of TV series narration. The goal is to enhance the conception and achievement of media productions and to perfect communicative strategies regarding teaching and training;
-the history of music, musicology, and multimedia aimed at developing skills with the material and immaterial musical heritage in historical, anthropological, comparative, philological and critical-analytical, multimedia but also performative and educational perspective;
- to the history of the theatre, who favour the theoretical and methodological approach to the study of the analysis of the theatrical text, both as a function of the spectacular outcome and in its historical, philological, linguistic, multimedia and performative aspects.
Occupational opportunities
The degree course provides training for the following professions:
1. Professionals with technical-production skills to create multimedia productions with an aesthetic-critical awareness who are attentive to current cultural tendencies. Graduates are then able to design and carry out the technical-production phase of multimedia productions in the fields of audiovisual, broadcasting and new technologies;
2. Cultural and entertainment professionals in radio, television, musical, and theatrical productions. These professionals can perform functions of higher responsibility within public and private institutions and authorities operating in the fields of figurative arts, music, cinema, audiovisual, radio, television, photography, communication, and theatrical performance;
3. Editors, consultants, and technical professionals across all branches of publishing and communication in print and digital. Professionals possessing specific skills for the creation, supervision, composition and editing of specialized or popular texts exhibited at events or as accompaniments to audio and visual documents; manage the design and organization of program schedules for television.
4. Professional critics of events, exhibitions, and works in the various relevant sectors.
5. Coordinators for the dissemination and training of public and private cultural heritage, including school and tourism, who possess historical-critical expertise in specific artistic expressions.
