The Master’s Degree programme provides solid skills necessary to operate with management and R&D functions in the sustainable production, distribution and use of energy in its various forms (mechanical, thermal, electrical, chemical). Energy engineers will be able to interact with environmental, economic and regulatory aspects. The programme also prepares professionals in the field of renewable sources and major energy conversions, with in-depth studies on combined plants, cogeneration and nuclear (fusion and fission) plants, energy in buildings, heating and cooling systems. The Programme has received the EUR-ACE accreditation (European Network for the Accreditation of Engineering Education ) that provides a set of standards to identify high-quality Engineering degree programmes in Europe and abroad.

Characteristics and objectives
The Master's Degree in Energy Engineering trains professionals capable of operating with management or research and development functions in the production, distribution and use of energy in its various forms (mechanical, electrical, thermal, chemical energy). These professionals are also able to assess interactions with environmental, economic and regulatory aspects thanks to an in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge on energy, thermo-fluid dynamics, heat transfer, energy production systems, electrical systems for energy, energy economics, industrial measures and instrumentation, renewable energy.
The course also prepares professionals aimed at specific areas of employment in the field of: renewable sources, with particular attention to machines and plants that use these sources; major energy conversions, with in-depth studies on combined, combined heat and power and nuclear (fusion and fission) plants; civilian and industrial applications, with lessons that specifically address energy in buildings and heating and cooling systems.
The course has the EUR-ACE ® (European Accredited Engineer) Label.

Occupational opportunities
Those who obtain the Master degree will be able to find employment, also with management and coordination functions, in public and private bodies that deal with the production and distribution of energy and fuels, in engineering companies that deal with civil and industrial plant design or environmental impact assessments, in industrial companies where the figure of the energy manager or in any case competence in the sector is required, in local authorities (regions, provinces, municipalities).
