If you are interested in the field of nutrition, this course gives you the necessary knowledge to develop personalized diets for others and understanding the pathology that affects them by evaluating effectiveness according to the desired result as well as the ability to carry out educational activities within the food sector. The multidisciplinary approach allows you to acquire the fundamental understanding needed in assisting others in the management of eating disorders and the nutritional needs of certain groups. You can pursue work alongside medical dietitians who will diagnose, prescribe diets and drug treatments when needed, as well as with nutritionists who are usually biologists that define nutritional plans and offer educational nutrition interventions. Characteristics and objectives
The Bachelor's degree in Dietistica prepares the professional for organizing and coordinating specific food-related activities, in particular those regarding dietetics. The dietician cooperates with stakeholders that safeguard food health and hygiene; the dietician compiles and realizes medically prescribed diets and also checking patient acceptability.
Dieticians work together with other professionals for the multidisciplinary treatment of eating disorders;
the dietician studies and plans the composition of food portions, the nutritional needs suitable for various population groups and she/he manages food services for both sick and healthy people. The dietician provides training, education and information in order to provide the principles of healthy eating so that individuals, the whole and population community groups can recover and maintain good health.

Occupational opportunities
After the Bachelor's degree in Dietistica the Dietician can work as freelance in either public or private health facilities (hospitals, prevention depts, national health system, territorial services, clinics) the dietician can work in public and private structures, as employee freelancer. The main working areas are public health facilities and private (clinics).
Other working areas concern collective catering, food industry, chemistry industry and research.
