A course that covers all areas of information engineering and which, thanks to its strong methodological training and its multidisciplinary perspective, provides solid skills for those who wish to continue with a master's degree course. You will acquire in-depth knowledge of the physical-mathematical fields and of the various areas of information (also thanks to laboratories such as internet and multimedia, optics and photonics, microelectronics) and solid and innovative design skills based on the use of the most modern instrumentation. You will be able to work in those sectors of the job market where a non-superficial understanding of the fundamentals of information technologies (information technology, electronics, biomedical, telecommunications and industrial automation) is appreciated, dealing with innovation and development of production and design and management of systems.

Characteristics and objectives
The Bachelor Degree in Information Engineering provides in-depth training in both the physical / mathematical field, and in the disciplines of Information Technologies (IT). The educational objectives of the course are characterized by astrong methodological flavour, that leads to the acquisition of extensive and in-depth knowledge of thephysical-mathematical and IT areas; design skills in the most innovative technology areas, based on the use of the most modern tools.

Occupational opportunities
The professional fields typical of graduates in Information Engineering are all sectors of information technology, such as computer engineering, electronics, the biomedical field, telecommunications and industrial automation. Graduates in Information Engineering can work as innovation managers. and in the development of production, design, planning and programming, and management of systems. Graduates will find employment in small and medium-sized enterprises as well as in public administration.

From Bachelor's degree to Master's degree
The course gives access to Master degree programs in the IT area: Bioengineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering and ICT for Internet and Multimedia, according to the admission rules that will be indicated in the specific admission notices.
