A course that provides basic training in humanities and added in-depth skills in the historical-artistic and musicological sector while covering restoration techniques and the legislation of cultural heritage. Thanks to the training path that covers a wide range of the various fields of art and music, students can pursue careers that deal with the protection of cultural heritage, at the offices of superintendents, museums, libraries, media libraries, and local authorities. Careers can be made at lyric bodies and companies that deal with concerts or at cooperatives services and activities related to training, public relations, publishing, cataloging, advertising, and broadcasting. Students may practice their profession as experts in art or as a musicologist.

Characteristics and objectives
The degree course provides fundamental education and training in the humanities and more in-depth skills in the historical-artistic and musicological disciplines, in restoration techniques, and legislation concerned with cultural heritage.

Occupational opportunities
Graduates are qualified to work with institutions involved in the preservation of cultural heritage, such as offices of superintendence, museums, libraries, media libraries, and local authorities. Graduates work in opera houses and companies that deal with concerts, in service cooperatives, or activities linked with education, public relations, publishing, cataloging, publicizing and dissemination. One could also engage in private practice as an art expert or musicologist.

From Bachelor’s degree to Master’s degree
The degree course gives access to the second-cycle degree in Art History, according to the procedures indicated in the specific admission notice.
