In 2003, I graduated in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Padua with Emilio Bonfatti. I wrote a thesis on rhetoric and style of aphoristic writing in Friedrich Nietzsche.
Between 2003 and 2006 I was a scholarship student at the PhD School of Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at the University of Siena, where I obtained my PhD in 2007, in co-tutèle (Doppelpromotion) with the University of Hildesheim (Germany), with a thesis on the genesis of Georg Trakl's lyric poetry, later published by Pacini in 2009.
In 2007 and 2009, I was a research fellow at the Free University of Berlin, the first time with a four-month grant from the DAAD, the second time with an annual postdoctoral fellowship from the Fritz Thyssen Foundation.
From 2008 to 2010 I was a lecturer in German literature at the University of Trieste.
I have been teaching and researching in Germany for about 10 years: After my scholarship and postdoctoral fellowship in Berlin (2008-2009), I was a researcher in modern and contemporary German literature at the University of Greifswald from 2010 to 2014 and at the Leibniz Universität Hannover from 2015 to 2018.
In 2013, I received my habilitation (lecture qualification) for associate professor in Italy, which was reconfirmed in 2023. In 2023 I received my habilitation for full professorship.
From October 2018 to November 2024 I was a researcher in German Literature at the Dipartimento di Studi Linguistici e Letterari of the University of Padua. Since December 1, 2024 I've held the position of Associate Professor. I am a member of the Teaching Committee of the PhD Program in Linguistic, Philological and Literary Sciences at University of Padua.
