I'm Full Professor of Russian Literature and Deputy director of the Inter-University Centre for Research on Contemporary Russia and its Cultural Heritage (CIRRCEC). I'm currently in charge of the Paduan research unit within the PRIN (project of major national interest) entitled From Post-Trauma to Ecology: Contemporary Gender Narratives in Slavic Cultural Texts. I graduated in Padua and then became a researcher in Bologna; I was associate Professor at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and since 1st February 2016 I’m back in my Alma Mater. A modernist by training (and vocation), I have focused my research on Russian culture and literature of the 20th- 21st centuries. At present I’m concerned with contemporary Russian literature: from the genesis of postmodernism to the production process of mass literature. I'm the author of many articles on Russian contemporary literature and my principal books on contemporaneity are "What is Russian Postmodernism?" and "At the Crossroads of Two Millennia. A Journey in Contemporary Russian Literature". Over the years, I have participated in many national and international congresses (sometimes organizing them) and I have prepared and taken part in national and international projects and research schemes. From 2004 to 2020 I have been on the editorial board of the journal “Studi slavistici” (https://oaj.fupress.net/index.php/ss/issue/view/597) official organ of the Italian Association of Slavists. Since 2020 I’m a member of the International Scientific Committee of “Vestnik Permskogo universiteta” and since 2021 member of the Editorial Board of "Dive-In. An International Journal on Diversity and Inclusion", https://dive-in.unibo.it/index.
