Enrico Sandrin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Engineering, University of Padova, Italy.
He teaches 'Organizzazione e Risorse Umane' (Organization and Human Resources) in the Bachelor of Science in Management Engineering, 'Gestione della Varietà di Prodotto' (Product Variety Management) and 'Digital Customization' in the Master of Science in Management Engineering. He has also taught 'Economia e Organizzazione Aziendale' (Business Administration and Organization) in the Bachelor of Science in Management Engineering and in the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. He is a lecturer in the 'Research Methods' module of the PhD program in Management Engineering and Real Estate Economics.
Formerly, he worked as a knowledge engineer for product configuration, as a buyer, and as a controller in a company operating in the machinery industry, where he also contributed to many business transformation projects sometimes collaborating with leading consulting firms. His research activity revolves around the study of product variety and customization management, product configuration, organization design, and human resource management for mass customization. He has presented the results of his research at numerous international conferences, and his research has been recognized with two awards: the Harry Boer Highly Commended Award at the 2016 EurOMA international conference and the Best Paper Award at the International Workshop on Configuration (ConfWS 2023). His research has also been published in international journals such as the International Journal of Operations & Production Management, the Journal of Manufacturing Systems, the International Journal of Production Economics, Computers in Industry, Industrial Management & Data Systems, the Journal of Systems & Software, and the International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management.
