Filippo Zanini is assistant professor in Manufacturing Technologies and Production Systems at the Department of Management and Engineering (DTG) of the University of Padova, with teaching assignments in: Additive Manufacturing, Product and Process Engineering, and Digital Manufacturing. In 2017 he received the PhD in Industrial Engineering with the thesis entitled “X-ray computed tomography for coordinate metrology and industrial applications”. His main research activities focus on dimensional metrology and precision manufacturing, with particular reference to industrial computed tomography and additive manufacturing. He has collaborated with several national and international research institutes and companies, and he is author of more than 80 international scientific publications. He has been chairman, organizing committee member, scientific committee member, and speaker for a number of national and international conferences. He is Research Affiliate of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP), member of the Associazione Italiana di Tecnologia Meccanica (AITeM), and part of the board of directors of the CMM Club association.
