Nicola Trivellin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Engineering (summa cum laude), a Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering (summa cum laude), a PhD in Information Sciences and Technologies from the Department of Information Engineering at University of Padova. He completed his training with a research period at the Laboratory for Advanced Semiconductors and Photonics and Electronics at EPFL, Lausanne, CH with the role of visiting PhD Student.

He is currently a researcher at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Padova. His main interests are the development of systems based on optoelectronic technologies, research related to the improvement of LEDs and Solid State Lasers and on photovoltaic devices and technologies.

He has published more than 100 scientific publications including journal articles and conference proceedings

Over the years he has taught in the following courses: Photovoltaic sciences and technologies, Automotive and Domotic: electronic circuits, Dispositivi optoelettronici, Fondamenti di elettronica.
