Education:
• Graduated at the University of Padova (Italy) in Veterinary Medicine in June 2001
• March 2005: PhD in ‘Conservation, Management and Improvement of Animal Genetic Resources’ at the Department of Animal Science of the University of Padova

Research

My research activity covered different fields. In the last years, I worked mainly on sustainability of livestock farming systems.

My recent research projects were focused on mountain areas and low input farming systems: the relationships among production, land use and environment are analysed at different scales, from farm to landscape. The results evidence the diverse multifunctional roles of traditional farming systems (mainly dairy cattle farms) in the alpine areas and the need of using multiple indicators to evaluate their sustainability.
