Ottavia Mazzon holds a PhD in Greek philology (2018) from the University of Padova and the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (Paris). She has been a post-doc researcher at the universities of Bologna, Padova, 'La Sapienza' in Rome and in 2021-2022 she was Frances A. Yates long-term fellow at the Warburg Institute in London. She is currently a post-doc researcher at the Dipartimento di Studi Linguistici e Letterari (DiSLL) where she works on the PRIN PNRR 2022 project "Panoplia Panopliarum - The Long Twelfth Century: The Byzantine Era of Anti-Heretic Compilations". Her research interests focus on the history of reading in Byzantium, the excerpta tradition, and the history of cardinal Bessarion's library.
