Cipriano Forza, born on 08/19/1962, graduated in Electronic Engineering and a doctorate in Industrial Innovation Sciences at the University of Padua. He is full professor of Economic-Management Engineering at the University of Padua, where he teaches "Quality and Organization" in the Degree Course in Management Engineering and "Product Variety Management" and "Digital Customization" in the Master's Degree Course in Management Engineering. He has been coordinator of the PhD in Management and Economic Engineering of the University of Padua. He has been a visiting scholar at Minnesota University, London Business School and Arizona State University. At the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (Brussels) he teaches Research Methodologies in Operations Management. He has been and is reviewer for various academic journals, has been associate editor of prestigious international journals, and he is a member of the scientific committee of numerous international conferences. He edited - as guest editor - a special issue of JOM (2005) on the theme "Coordinating Product Design, Process Design, and Supply Chain Design Decisions" and a special issue of POM (2010) on the theme "Mass Customization". He organizes (since 2008) the Workshop on Journal Publishing for Researchers in OM. Since 1991 he has been responsible for the "Mass Customization" and "Information Systems" sections of the international research project "High Performance Manufacturing" (the project, launched in 1989, has now reached its fourth edition, in which over 50 universities in more than 20 European, American and Asian countries). He has been scientific director of four European projects on mass customization and on innovation-related issues, one of which ("Customization experts") was selected as an example of best practice for the conduct of projects of this type. Since 1998 he has been vice-president of the study group on the organization of production of the Veneto Productivity Center. He has carried out numerous researches on the topics of product variety management, product configuration, mass customization, Quick Response, Lean Production, information systems in operations, quality management and internationalization of SMEs, research that has produced over 160 publications. In particular, he published 75 (54) indexed papers on Scopus (WoS), whose impact is testified by both the number of citations received (4,590 taking Scopus as a source, 2,612 taking WoS as a source) and the value of the h index (33 taking Scopus as a source, 26 taking WoS as a source). He has received awards for articles published in proceedings of international conferences (Academy of Management 2008, EurOMA 2016) and for articles published in international peer reviewed journals (JOM 2005, PPC 2004, IMS 1996 and IJOPM 1995).
