Graduated in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Padua, in 1992 she obtained her Ph.D. in Mechanical and Agricultural Mechanization. She is an Associate Professor at the Department of TESAF - Land and Agro-Forestry Systems and serves as the President of the Bachelor's Degree Program in Planning and Management of the Territory and Greenery at the University of Padua.
Her teaching activity is evidenced by numerous courses taught over more than thirty years of teaching at the School of Agriculture of the University of Padua, where she currently holds courses in Irrigation and Water Management in Green Areas, Techniques and Installations for Irrigation, and Maintenance of Green Areas. She is a member of the Doctoral College L.E.R.H. Her commitment to teaching is also documented by supervising over 150 theses for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
For years, she has been participating in Universa – Kids University, an event of the University of Padua dedicated to teaching sciences to children.
She is responsible for the Erasmus flows with the Instituto Superior de Agronomia of the Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal), the Universidade de Tras-os-Montes e Alto Douro of Vila Real (Portugal), and the Universidad Politecnica EUIT of Madrid (Spain).
She was the coordinator and organizer of the training project "Maintenance of Green Areas" at the TESAF Department, which included extracurricular courses on Tree Climbing, Use and Maintenance of Chainsaws, and Arboriculture.
She is a member of various scientific societies (Italian Association of Agricultural Engineering, Italian Society of Horticulture, International Society of Horticultural Science, International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage), the Italian Arboriculture Society (SIA), and the Public Gardens Association.
She has been the scientific coordinator of research programs at the national level and a member of numerous national and international research groups.
Author of nearly 150 publications, mostly scientific, she conducts scientific reviews for about twenty indexed international journals and has participated as a speaker or invited speaker at numerous Italian and foreign conferences, presenting scientific papers on irrigation and Nature-Based Solutions (NBS). Over the years, her research activity has focused mainly on the application of low-impact irrigation technologies and the analysis of the hydrological and vegetative functionality of NBS for managing rainfall runoff, with particular attention to green roofs and rain gardens. In these topics, she has held numerous seminars in Italy and abroad (Germany, Spain, Argentina, and Uzbekistan).
