- biomarker discovery for early diagnosis and evaluation of the effect on biochemical markers of patients’ genetic variability.

Gastric cancer and Helicobacter pylori infection:
- interplay between host and bacterium in determining the clinical outcome of the infection.

Pharmacogenetics:
- evaluation of the impact of inter-individual genetic variability on safety and efficacy of warfarin, clopidogrel, tamoxifen therapies.
